Storm water is harvested from urban catchment for regatta centre ponds. The floating wetlands were installed as a boom near the inlet to provide pre treatment.
Purpose: Pre treatment of storm water used in recreational waters
Scope of works: 264m2 lineal floating treatment wetland, 4m wide x 66m long. The water level will rise and fall by up to 2m, so we installed a combination of concrete tie off points at either end and submerged anchor points along its 66m length.
Issues: Logistics for construction, transport and installation.
Client: Penrith Lakes Regatta Centre
