Bushfire Verification for Construction, Occupation and Subdivision Certificates

An Infill Development involves new house, alterations and additions in pre-existing subdivisions.

You may need bushfire verification after your Development Application (DA) has been approved. This final step confirms that all bushfire conditions can be met before you get your Construction Certificate (CC), Occupation Certificate (OC) or Subdivision Works Certificate (SWC).

Why verification matters

  • It’s typically required post‑DA to prove compliance with bushfire conditions.
  • Early engagement reduces risk, cost and delays at CC/OC/SWC stages.
  • Our experienced bushfire construction draftsperson helps translate conditions into practical application.

Engage us early
Bring us in before detailed design and procurement. We’ll flag requirements, close compliance gaps and keep your project moving—no last‑minute panic.

What we verify
We prepare the report in line with your specific conditions of concent. Depending on your approval conditions, we confirm:

  • Asset Protection Zone (APZ) sizing and placement
  • Access for residents and emergency services
  • Water supply and utilities for firefighting
  • Emergency management arrangements
  • Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) construction requirements per AS 3959/PBB 2019

Who it’s for

  • Infill developments needing post‑DA verification
  • Residential and rural subdivisions requiring BFSA/verification
  • Projects progressing to Construction, Occupation or Subdivision certification on bushfire prone land
  • Landscape or APZ compliance
